It's all about love! Organic love, creativity and nature. Contribute to a better world. Every day. The responsibility of setting an example for our children. Wake up and know that we will do something that we believe. Find the best system for our conditions. Respect and help.  Remember that we are part of a cycle. We are part of a whole.

Humus Farm is an organic certified producer of fruits and vegetables with accommodation, art gallery, spaces for events and is implementing a green and rural business incubator called Fava and a space for gastronomic experiences from garden to plate, with courses, workshops, showcookings and events called Refeitório.

At the beginning of this journey is Ana's connection to the land, to the vineyard and to the wine, because her family is an agricultural and wine producer to several generations in the demarcated region of the Douro. Graduated in Fine Arts from FBAUL, producer of television and concerts in the last 15 years, she assumed at 37 years the desire to start a project that reflects her way of being. Defending a healthy diet, protecting the environment and aware that each person can make a difference, she felt encouraged to contribute to a better future. It has been conducting diverse formations of organic, biodynamic and sintrópica agriculture since 2015.

Since the first moment, we have established a mission for ourselves: be better every year. And for that we believe that it is fundamental to create a group of processes that help us to decrease water and electricity consumption and to be planet-centered.  All of those processes, decisions and approaches were highly relevant:

  • Be responsible

  • Plant trees

  • Don’t move soil

  • Adopt agroforest system principles

  • Make the irrigation system more efficient

  • Change all lamps to LED system

  • Connect only the necessary electrical equipments

  • Use smart plugs to manage electrical equipments

  • Decrease of green outdoor areas with water need

  • Solar power installation

  • Reduce

  • Recycle

  • Reuse

  • Rethink
